Mathmatica
High Performance, Modern Features
The Idea
Mathmatica is a custom firmware for the Launchpad Pro, which has many features geared towards performance, both on the user end, and inside the Launchpad.
Mathmatica contains features such as:
- Same settings menus as LPX for a modern, familiar feeling
- GUI rotation (Useful for people who for some reason make covers with a sideways MK2)
- 3 built-in palettes (Stock, Mat1jaczyyy, Kickass)
- Custom Palette slot with improved Palette Editor
- Custom Modes in Live Mode
- Super secret features that will be revealed later
How To Use
To upload Mathmatica, you can use mat1jaczyyy's Firmware Utility. Make sure your Launchpad is plugged in and in Bootloader mode (holding Setup while powering on) to prepare your Launchpad for flashing. Press up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right on your keyboard to enable Custom Sysex uploading. Then, select "Custom Sysex File" and select the Mathmatica firmware.
To upload a custom palette, turn your Launchpad on as usual and launch the Uploader. Click Upload Palette and select your Retina palette file. The palette will be uploaded to Slot 4.
To edit a palette in the on-board editor, use the 4 lit buttons at the bottom of the Launchpad to navigate the palette. Tap on the velocity colour you wish to edit. On the right-hand side of the Launchpad, select which value you would like to edit: red, green, or blue. Use the Up and Down arrows in the top left hand corner of the Launchpad to increase or decrease the value by 1. Changes are saved automatically.
The rest of the Setup menu is used exactly the same as the Launchpad X, Mini MK3, and Pro MK3 menu.
