The all-in-one solution to flickering lights and after-image.

The Idea

Since the dawn of time (or when Ableton 10 released), people have been experiencing flickering light effects and afterimage on their Launchpads. This set of plugins allows you to remove that flickering and reduce after image, as well as having been baked into one single plugin for ease of use.

All in all, these plugins are called Noise Control!

How To Use

De-Noise

De-Noise consists of three parts, each of which can be used in its standalone plugin form if you don't want the other feature.

Please Quiet Down is based on STFU by 203Null, a plugin which was broken in the latest Max version (Max 8), and never worked with more than one Launchpad. This plugin was created with the permission of 203Null to remove flickering on the Launchpad and provide smooth, seamless lights.

Doorstop was created to fix an issue which plagued me and many others for a very long time: hanging lights after Ableton stops. This issue is caused by several things:
 - Multiple tracks giving light output to a Launchpad at once
 - A MaxForLive device in the lights track which causes lights to no longer clear when playback stops.
Doorstop fixes this by constantly logging which notes and velocities are playing on the Launchpad, then when Ableton playback stops, it plays back the last "frame" that was logged really quickly, which causes the lights to clear seamlessly from the Launchpad. Note that you will either need one Doorstop on every lights track, or route every lights track to a BUS track and put a Doorstop on only that track (recommended)

Do Speak Up is a plugin which reduces bandwidth usage by a small amount by consolidating identical back-to-back notes into single notes the length of the combined notes. Slightly reduces flickering, but mostly reduces the amount of note-on and note-off messages. Particularly useful for "layered" projects that predate Depths.
If using this plugin in its Standalone form, it is important to put it BEFORE Doorstop, as the method that Doorstop uses to clear Afterimage is broken by Do Speak Up.
